As a business owner myself, I understand the challenges other business owners face. When I first set up on my own 6 years ago, after over 20 years in a corporate environment, it was a real shock to find that I had to do absolutely everything myself - from writing my business plan to running to the post office for stamps! I also had to learn new skills fast, the most important of these was marketing to get those all-important clients.

If I had been working with a coach during those early days, I know I would have saved myself so much time and money and gained clients more quickly. Unfortunately, coaching was still in its infancy in this country then.

Over the last few years, I have been privileged to work with business owners, some just deciding if they want to work for themselves, some just starting-up and others wanting to move their established businesses to the next level and increase their revenue.

I have found that, although these people are very good at what they do, unless they can market themselves successfully, they don't stay in business very long. Also, it isn't unreasonable to want to have a life outside our businesses but how many of us remember to do that?
